Well, we didn't have to wait the full four weeks. Our precious baby boy, Grant Walker Alderson, made his arrival on Saturday, July 26th, 2008 at 10:37 pm. It all started as a normal Saturday morning, Tim & I were going to breakfast, to pick up the crib and dresser for Grant's room, and to finish getting all the necessities for my hospital bag. While sitting at breakfast, my water broke. Since it was not the big gush that you always see on TV, I was not absolutely positive that is was my water. So we ran home to grab a few things just in case, and headed to the hospital. The nurse checked me and sure enough my water had broken. The unfortunate part was that I was only dilated to a 1 cm and 0% effaced. Dr. Emily Hinton was the doctor on call at Willow Creek for the weekend, so she came in to talk to Tim & I to let us know that we would have our baby boy in the next 24 hours. I was admitted to the hospital and given pitocin to start the dilation process, but after 9 hours I had only progressed to a 1.5 cm. At that point, we talked with Dr. Hinton and decided we would like to deliver via C-section. About 45 minutes later, we had our baby boy! I hope you enjoy the photos!

Grant is just about the best looking boy I have ever seen. Of course, I may be a little prejudiced, but that aside, he is the best. I am betting on him being in the Hog freshman class of 2026. Keep up the good work. Love.

Grant is so cute--he looks like Jennifer, but he will probably play cards like Tim. Grant, Jennifer and Tim make the perfect family, and they are such a blessing to each other as they are to us. I can't wait to sneak a million kisses from Grant. Nana Bynum
